The Satsang Association is a companionship of seekers after truth and its Members commit themselves to a serious attempt to live their lives guided by the Triple Commitment.
Recently, the UK Midlands and North Satsang met for some days at Noddfa Spirituality Centre in North Wales and were joined by Members from the Southern Group and other spiritual companions. During that time we discussed the Satsang and its Triple Commitment. This brief posting contains some ( hopefully) helpful points concerning Satsang.
Each individual is unique and on their own journey back to the Source - God by whatever name we may call it. We all seriously seek Truth and can find food and sustenance in the roots of all the major Faith Traditions and particularly our own ; whether it be Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism or whatever tradition forms and feeds our roots.
Each of us follows our own Sadhana ( Spiritual path or practice) but we are helped by the support of the Satsang Companionship. Our first task is our own spiritual nourishment ( The First Commitment). Then , nourished by this and supported by our fellow seekers, we can then reach out to others and fulfill the 2nd and 3rd commitments that involve breaking down barriers between peoples and building up relationships of compassion.
A series of three leaflets now follows. Each is produced as two A4 sheets, which when printed out back-to-back, form a simple A5 leaflet. Members and others are encouraged to print out copies and to share these ( when asked) with others.
